(A) Description about this ministry..
This ministry looks helps out the mums in the creche with the children.
(B) When?
During the morning service, after the offertory (~9.45am to 10.45am) and only as often as you can commit (once a term/month)
(C) Who will be on?
A minimum of 2 helpers are on roster each morning as well as an experienced creche worker who is responsible for setting up and ensure everything is tidy at the end of the session.
(D) Positions available
• No Nappy Changing
• If you are unable to cover your rostered day - contact the next person on the list to swap.
• Grandmas and Grandpas are most welcome to be part of our team. Please don't think you all too old as the children love interacting with all ages.
a. Team Leader (Supervisor)
Usually a parent of a crèche aged child or more mature adult.
What do I have to do (main functions)?
1. Set up the room for play and be the first point of call for visitors for that day.
2. Guide the helpers associated with you and sit with the children as they draw or play.
3. Looking after teary children who take time to settle once parent has gone.
4. Ensure all the equipment is packed away at the end of the session.
5. Wait till all children are collected.
6. MUST fill out a WA Working With Children Check application (Details and forms are downloadable at www.checkwwc.wa.gov.au/checkwwc ) . Some exemptions apply. Please check before applying.
b. 1st Helper
Usually a more mature person or Mum. You provide help as directed by the Supervisor.
What do I have to do (main functions)?
a) Work under the guidance of the Supervisor.
b) Items 1 to 5
c. Junior Helper (Usually a teenager).
1. Play with older children outside.
2. Work under the guidance of the Supervisor.
3. Help pack away large equipment at the end of the session.
(E) How do i know when I am on?
You will be informed thru a roster distributed by our office and printed on the back of the News Notes
