NAME of WPCBC MINISTRY: BOYS BRIGADE

(A) Description about this ministry..

Boys Brigade is a youth focused ministry particularly aimed at young boys. The BB mission focus is to train boys to become Christian men by teaching and encouraging through various methods including mentoring, bible studies, projects, skill development, games, outdoor activities such as camps and expeditions and fellowship with other like minded youth.

Wednesday Nights during School Term 5:15pm - 6:45pm Anchor and Junior Section

Wednesday Nights during School Term 6:30pm - 8:30pm

(E) What do I have to do (main functions)?

1. Assist with the Boys Brigade ministry by helping organize and run activities, projects and games for the boys. Develop relationships with the boys to help mentor and advise boys as they grow and mature.

2. We have a particular need to establish a team of people to assist ‘behind the scenes' at Brigade (both Boys Brigade and Girls Brigade). In particular we require people to help with promotion of Brigade, welcoming of people at Brigade, administrative assistance for leaders and new members assisting Brigades, and a contact network for non-Christian families whose children may attend Brigade. Generally, leaders are so absorbed with running the day to day activities of Brigade that they do not have the opportunity to properly meet and get to know and assist non church going families and having this team of people would provide an excellent resource to allow Brigade to do more outreach based ministry.
